The Weirdest And Most Impressive Tomodachi Life Creations We’ve Seen So Far

It's no secret that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream allows for a frankly mindblowing amount of player freedom when it comes to customization options, from custom facepaint, clothing, and food for Miis, to custom building exteriors and decorative objects for the island they live on. Player-made artistic aides like Living the Grid allow for even more precision, providing the tools to create picture-perfect in-game recreations of everyday objects (even if you're not a pro at pixel art). As a result, players have spent the month-and-a-half since the game's launch creating anything and everything, from familiar characters from popular game, film, and television franchises, to unique creations, like this wheelchair dress. Keep reading for a look at some of the funniest, wildest, and most well-made player creations we've stumbled across so far. Green M&M and Green Eminem https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1tgzlij/my_new_addition/ It's a very simple concept, but it's still hilarious. Reddit user /u/slinkwoman recently shared a pair of Mii creations featuring the iconic Green M&M and a green-skinned version of rapper Eminem. I'm dying to know if these two hit it off, or if one of them is currently green with envy, watching the other soak up all the limelight on their island. - C.L. Lae'zel, Shadowheart, and Us (Baldur's Gate 3) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvGv4TQ5pX0 A YouTuber who goes by Whisky uploaded a nearly six-minute-long video showing off their Baldur's Gate 3 creations, which include an incredibly well-made Lae'zel Mii, along with a custom pet designed to resemble everyone's favorite Intellect Devourer (and occasional party member), Us. Despite being presented with a very well-designed pet, Shadowheart looks less than thrilled with Us. Other incredibly detailed Mii-versions of Baldur's Gate 3 characters--including Astarion, Gale, and Karlach--can also be spotted in the video. - C.L. Princess Bubblegum and Marceline the Vampire Queen (Adventure Time) While not nearly as impressive as many of the intricately designed creations in this list, I can't resist tooting my own horn here a little bit. Creating Princess Bubblegum and Marceline took a lot longer than I expected. Marceline was fairly easy--I decided to go for a twist on the red-eyed, monstrous form she sometimes takes on in moments of anger. Bubblegum was another story. Her face stays pretty consistent throughout the series, so there was no real way to get around the "two black dots for eyes and a tiny mouth" look. I did end up giving her a nose (though she doesn't have a visible one in the cartoon), because she looked far too odd without it. I even managed to find a hairstyle similar to one she wears in a flashback episode. She looks pretty good at first glance, but because I had to warp and enlarge her eyes so much to make them the right shape, she looks absolutely terrifying when she blinks or closes her eyes. - C.L. Feldspar (The Outer Wilds) https://www.reddit.com/r/outerwilds/comments/1sqvwrp/said_id_make_feldspar_too_in_tomodachi_life_so/ I've stumbled across quite a few Mii-versions of Hearthians from The Outer Wilds, but by far, my favorite is Reddit user /u/DatCurlyPal's truly out-of-this-world take on Feldspar. His upper eyes are real, while the lower set--along with all of his freckles, facial scarring, and skin texture--was handpainted on by DatCurlyPal. One feature that's especially worthy of note here is the shape of Feldspar's ears. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream does feature a pointed "elf" ear option, but it only gives Miis ears with pointed tips. Just like his lower set of eyes, the frayed texture seen on the bottom of his ears was, again, handcrafted by DatCurlyPal. - C.L. Hinako (Silent Hill f) and Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil) As someone obsessed with the latest entries in both the Silent Hill and Resident Evil franchises, I simply had to create both Hinako and Leon. Despite their franchise's light rivalry, the Mii versions of these two have quickly become best friends--perhaps due to, you know, all the trauma. - J.C. Mr. Puppy & friends https://www.reddit.com/r/TomodachilifeLivingTD/comments/1tb916k/rare_footage_of_mr_puppy/ Reddit user /u/Shrubland has been showing off a collection of creations in which animals are shown to pilot robotic bodies. It all started with Mr. Puppy, a small dog of indeterminate breed who has somehow managed to commandeer a robot Mii. Shrubland followed up their initial post with a video showing exactly how they built Mr. Puppy, and later revealed that Mr. Puppy has since been joined by two new brain-jacking associates: Ms. Kitty and Dr. Turtle. - C.L. Low-effort YouTube thumbnail https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1t2dgdo/why_did_i_make_this/ Like just about every game that dares to offer players the option to create a non-binary character, Living the Dream has received some criticism from the usual suspects, who popped out of the woodwork to make YouTube videos complaining that Miis have a non-binary gender option. Reddit user /u/zeroplayer120 fired back with a flawless in-game recreation of a thumbnail that was used in one of the aforementioned YouTube videos, forever immortalizing the video creator's whining. - C.L. Princess Beach https://www.reddit.com/r/TomodachilifeLivingTD/comments/1t7s4tb/so_peach_and_bowser_had_a_kid/ No, this is not a reference to the iconic-yet-bewildering "Princess Beach" scene from Death Stranding. This is Peach and Bowser's lovechild, Princess Beach, and she freaks me out even more than Elephant Rosalina or Bowsette ever could. She's shockingly accurate, but Reddit user /u/These_Weird3314, says this Mii was auto-generated when their Bowser and Peach Miis decided to procreate. (According to These_Weird3314, the name Bowser and Peach actually decided on for their horrifying lovechild is "Fallon.") - C.L. A Magic the Gathering card Even in Tomodachi Life, I simply can't stop crackin' packs and slinging cardboard. After making my entire Magic the Gathering pod (the adorable term used for the group of folks you regularly play MTG with), I decided I needed to add cards to the game to help make the experience more true to life. I'm no pixel art pro, but I think I did a pretty good job replicating a Magic card in an easy-to-copy fashion. I highly encourage my fellow TCG nerds to add this "delightful" and "embarrassing" treasure for their Miis to enjoy, too. - J.C. Princess Peach (and friends) https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1t2yt54/when_youre_the_sixth_wheel/ The gang's all here: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rosalina, Princess Daisy, and… some poor out-of-place soul wearing a hamburger costume. Despite the group's "sixth wheel" sticking out like a sore thumb, the rest of the Miis in this household are remarkably accurate to the characters they're based on, right down to the little tuft of hair that always seems to be obscuring one of Rosalina's eyes. - C.L. Cloud and Tifa (Final Fantasy VII) Final Fantasy 7 has been my favorite game since its release back in 1997, and Tifa Lockhart, my favorite (kinda) protagonist of all-time. Shortly after adding both her and Cloud to the island, the pair became best friends and then developed a mutual crush on one another. Suffice to say that in every universe, they are truly meant to be. - J.C. Intricate island layout https://www.reddit.com/r/TomodachilifeLivingTD/comments/1tch6f9/my_island_layout/ Despite all the customization options, most player islands in Tomodachi Life end up turning out pretty square--literally speaking--as players try to squeeze many Mii houses into somewhat limited real estate. But rather than focusing solely on putting custom items on their island, Reddit user /u/SprinklesOnTurtles decided to customize their island's shape, resulting in an intricate, symmetrical design featuring flourishes like hearts, moons, stars, bows, and even bunny rabbits. - C.L. D'oh-nut-loving Homer Simpson https://www.reddit.com/r/TomodachilifeLivingTD/comments/1syj78q/genuinely_what_are_the_odds_of_this/ This Homer Simpson Mii turned out perfect, though fate played a bit of a role here. The Mii's accurate appearance is, obviously, a result of the hard work of his creator, Reddit user /u/nindieredd. But one thing players can't control is which foods their Miis like or dislike. It was a sheer stroke of RNG luck that this Mii's favorite food happens to be donuts. - C.L. Two kids in a trench coat https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1tcl6of/ive_had_to_start_carding_on_my_island/ This Mii, named "2 kids stacked up," is exactly who he says he is: two kids, stacked up inside a trench coat. His (their?) appearance seems to be a result of custom facepaint and custom clothing. - C.L. BMO, Brat, and The Communist Manifesto https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1sz9in9/i_want_to_see_your_custom_items/ While lots of Tomodachi Life discourse is focused on heavily customized Miis, there are plenty of other items players can customize in-game, something Redditor /u/iluvmydog96 seems keenly aware of. They recently posted a collection of their custom-made items (called Treasures in-game), including a copy of Charli XCX's Brat album, another Adventure Time character (BMO), a copy of the first entry in the Twilight book series, and a copy of The Communist Manifesto, among other custom Treasures. - C.L. Hideo Kojima Regardless of if you've played Metal Gear Solid or Death Stranding, you probably know who Hideo Kojima is. As someone who works in the games industry, I felt like it was important to add this indisputable icon to my island. While the real life Kojima is presumably hard at work on his next two games, OD and Physint, my Kojimii has been eagerly trying to make friends with Cloud Strife and Silent Hill f protagonist Hinako. Based on real-life Kojima's own penchant for befriending cool as hell celebrities, this tracks. - J.C. Gotyii https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1t9fnjk/but_you_didnt_have_to_cut_mii_off/ Reddit user /u/Marchello221 decided they wanted to pay homage to the song that got stuck in everyone's head back in 2011: "Somebody That I Used To Know," Gotye's mournful-yet-catchy ode to love lost. Just like in the music video, this Mii is standing in a room that's splattered with paint, and sporting facepaint of their own. Now we just need Nintendo to bring back Tomodachi's Concert Hall so the Gotye-Mii (Gotyii?) can duet with a Kimbra-Mii. - C.L. Fish-Miis https://www.reddit.com/r/TomodachilifeLivingTD/comments/1ti4ydl/aquatic_theme_miis/ Somehow both absolutely adorable and absolutely terrifying, this collection of aquatic Miis shows how truly wild players can go when it comes to Mii customization. Redditor /u/Infinite_Wonder5510 revealed that they created the pufferfish (whose name is Petey) using some unconventional methods. "His mouth shape was made using a mustache," they explained. - C.L. Flower Girls https://www.reddit.com/r/tomodachilife/comments/1tehmlw/my_flower_miis/ Created by Reddit user /u/BridgetBotanist, this adorable quartet is quite reminiscent of the singing flowers seen in Disney's animated Alice in Wonderland film. But what's most shocking about this little group is the fact that the peony-Mii was BridgetBotanist's very first creation. "The peony flower (pink) was my first Mii, and the lily of the valley flower (green/white) was my most recent creation," they explained. "You can definitely see the skill progression, but I love them all equally." - C.L. The Strawhat Pirates (One Piece) I've seen a lot of takes on One Piece's Strawhat pirates, but naturally, I really love my own version of the crew. The entire cast is cartoonish and diverse, and its a testament to Tomodachi's character creation that you can make Miis that look more or less like all of them. Just like in real life, Robin is my favorite. The face paint tool made it a breeze to bring her stoic features to life. And Sanji's swirly eyebrows? Manga accurate and fully-functional! - J.C...

See How 007 First Light’s Iconic Outfits Compare To The James Bond Movies

James Bond has been a cultural staple for decades, and with his latest adventure--the 007 First Light game--the super-spy gets to wear a variety of suave and sophisticated outfits. Some of these are quite similar to the clothing Bond wears in the film series, dating back to his earliest appearances with Sean Connery, and GameSpot put together a compilation to show off a few examples. https://twitter.com/GameSpot/status/2060047300689350813 As you would expect, the classic tuxedo, appropriately named "Classic Tuxedo" in-game, makes an appearance, and looks almost identical to the tuxedo Connery wore in the franchise's early days. The "Day of the Dead" outfit will be recognizable to anyone who saw Daniel Craig's Spectre. The "Observant Spy" outfit, meanwhile, bears a striking resemblance to a coat Roger Moore wore when he was on his very long run as James Bond, and the "Espresso Command" outfit closely matches a suit worn by Pierce Brosnan. Brosnan's legacy in video games perhaps stands above some of the other Bond actors, as it's his portrayal that was used for the N64's GoldenEye in 1997. Regardless of the outfit you choose to wear, 007 First Light is a fantastic super-spy simulator that blends Bond's signature charm and improvisation with the open-ended design of developer IO Interactive's Hitman games. In our 007 First Light review, Mark Delaney said, "007 First Light wisely repurposes what works in both universes but isn't afraid to reimagine or ditch those parts that don't."...

Witcher Dev’s Mysterious New Game With Saudi Arabia’s Scopely Is Not Releasing Soon

The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red is collaborating with Saudi Arabia-owned game developer Scopely for a new mobile game, but it's not releasing soon. During CD Projekt's latest earnings briefing, joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski was asked for an update on how the mysterious project--which is a game based on a CD Projekt franchise--is coming together. The executive said the game is "definitely not" coming out this year. Nowakowski said the nature of game development is ongoing iteration, and this takes time. "We've been previously suggesting that this would take some time. Scopelyand their team are very iterative, and they work very fast and very hard, but it’s more about iteration and reaching a certain level of satisfaction that is felt on both side--them and us--so things are happening, but, once again, it’s definitely not a story for 2026." CD Projekt announced its partnership with Scopely in March 2025, saying at the time that the game was based on one of CD Projekt’s franchises. This came after CD Projekt said it was considering a Cyberpunk mobile game. Saudi Arabia's Savvy Games bought Scopely in 2023 for $4.9 billion–that is the No. 8 biggest gaming acquisition of all time. Scopely is one of the biggest mobile game companies on the planet. The company reached a new stratosphere of success with Monopoly Go. Scopely also now owns Pokemon Go. In 2024, CD Projekt said it was considering the possibility of making The Witcher and/or Cyberpunk mobile games. The company does have experience with the mobile market, as Gwent: The Witcher Card Game received mobile ports, though support for the title ended in October 2023. Another Witcher mobile game, the Pokemon Go-inspired The Witcher: Monster Slayer, released in July 2021 but shut down nearly two years later in 2023...

Diablo 4 Is Getting A Long-Awaited Solo Mode Next Season

Diablo 4 players looking for even more of a challenge will be able to create Solo-Self-Found characters starting in Season 14. Developer Blizzard revealed Diablo 4's Solo-Self-Found (or SSF) mode as part of its Season 14 public test realm patch notes, offering the first details on all the new seasonal mechanics, item reworks, and balance changes coming to the ARPG for its upcoming season. For those not in the know, SSF is a mode that's gained popularity over the years in the ARPG community across different games. It forces players to play solo, disabling the ability to team up with others to tackle more difficult challenges. More importantly, it also restricts players to only using gear they find themselves. That means no trading with other players or using an in-game auction house to buy better gear.  In Diablo 4's case, SSF characters will be seasonal-only, and won't be able to join parties or trade with others. Stashes, currencies, and Paragon points will be shared only with other SSF characters on the same account. Additionally, SSF characters won't have access to the game's free trial, couch co-op on consoles, or multiplayer-focused Dark Citadel activity. SSF characters will be locked into the mode for the duration of the season. Once the season ends, they will revert into normal characters that can group and trade as usual.  A look a SSF character creation in Diablo 4. Those hoping for some kind of benefit to rolling a SSF character, such as increased rewards or better item drop rates (as is the case in some other ARPGs like Last Epoch) to make up for the fact that trading is disabled are out of luck. There will be no real benefit to playing Solo Self Found, other than access to SSF-only Tower leaderboards. And bragging rights, of course. SSF is just one major shakeup coming as part of Diablo 4 Season 14. In addition to the return of Riftwalkers as a seasonal mechanic and a new Lair Boss, Season 14 will also controversially overhaul how Diablo 4's Mythic Uniques work. Instead of Mythics being the best items in the game as they currently are, any Ancestral Unique item will instead have a chance to roll as Mythic quality, though this change also means Mythic Uniques will now have largely random affixes. Season 14 will bring major changes to some of Diablo 4's most powerful builds as well. One trick allowing players to become practically immortal is being nerfed, for example, while some popular builds, like Companion Druids, are also being brought down a peg. Diablo 4 Season 14's PTR will run June 2-9, allowing players to get a taste of the new season and all its changes (and offer feedback to Blizzard) before it officially kicks off June 30.  Games Like Diablo To Loot Your Way Through In 2026 4466753-bestdiablolikegamestoplay2025.jpg 4378299-3860953-20210722102634_1.jpg 4138614-darksidergenesis.jpg 4138617-grimdark3.png 4688159-best-games-like-diablo-hades-2.jpg 4378298-ss_16c8797ca5624cf52eac0c7a212c385aed1d0d87.jpg 4138612-minecraftdungeons.jpg View Images...

Diablo 4 Is Making Mythic Uniques Nothing Special

Diablo 4 Season 14 will dramatically reimagine how Mythic Uniques work, and it's a change that doesn't seem to be sitting well with many in the game's community. Since Diablo 4's launch, a handful of Mythic Uniques have been the best, and rarest, items in the entire game, with nearly every maxed-out endgame build wanting to use at least one (or likely several) if possible. Not every Mythic Unique currently in Diablo 4 is a winner, but finding or crafting items like The Grandfather, Heir of Perdition, and Harlequin Crest have always been a surefire way to gain an incredible amount of power. That was, in part, because these items had guaranteed stats and affixes. In a game of random loot, Mythic Uniques were set in stone, letting players build around them with confidence. A look at some of Diablo 4 Season 14's Unique items as Mythics. That's changing in Diablo 4 Season 14. As revealed in the public test realm patch notes for Diablo 4's next season, Mythic Uniques will go from best items in the game to simply a "modifiable item quality," according to Blizzard. Every Ancestral Unique item in the game (of which there are over 100) will have a chance to drop as a "Mythic" Unique. Existing Mythic Uniques are now becoming regular Uniques with drastically reduced power. On top of that, just like Uniques in the game's Lord of Hatred expansion, Mythic Uniques will have mostly random stats and affixes. In Season 14, a Mythic Unique simply means that a particular Unique item has rolled with max stat values and the potency of its special power increased by 30%. Regular Uniques can be crafted into Mythic Uniques using the Horadric Cube, though Blizzard notes players will only be able to equip one crafted Mythic Unique at a time. Players can additionally use the cube to re-roll affixes on Unique items before potentially turning them into Mythic Uniques, giving at least some control over the randomness. It's a massively controversial change, in more ways than one. Players have already voiced their displeasure with the RNG added to regular Unique items as part of Lord of Hatred, which once upon a time also had set stats. Now Uniques can roll with completely unwanted affixes, making the hunt for a usable one much more time-consuming. Blizzard appears to be doubling down on the already unpopular idea and proposing that exact change to Mythic Uniques too. Whereas before seeing a purple item drop on the ground would cause a rush of excitement, there will now be a good chance it will be practically worthless if it doesn't have the right stats. Players are already arguing about the pros and cons of the change on places like Diablo 4 subreddit. While there are some players who like the changes and argue Mythic Uniques will be even stronger with the addition of being able to re-roll affixes with the cube, many don't see the point and sound frustrated by yet another layer of RNG. https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1tqhe42/mythic_uniques_no_longer_mythic/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button "I'm not looking for constant RNG within my RNG," user VagueSomething writes. "Uniques and especially Mythics need some consistency to stats or they're not worth mixing into your build. I'm already gambling if they'll drop and now I'm gambling if they will drop in a usable state." But not everyone agrees. User StrikingSpare100, in a post diving into the details of the changes and arguing why it's an improvement, is a fan of the changes. What were once Mythic Uniques will now drop far more frequently, with players having the option to craft them into even more powerful Mythic versions than existed previously.  "Personally I like this much more than [the] current situation of Mythic Unique," they write. "70% of them are utter trash, and the rest are mandatory [items] that exist on every single build." https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1tqpg3e/the_changes_to_mythic_uniques_are_vastly/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Blizzard hasn't yet fully explained its reasoning for the change or whether or not it will be a permanent addition to Diablo 4 or is just in place for Season 14. It's possible the developer thinks this change will increase build variety and give players more options--something the community is always wanting to see more of. But if a greater variety of builds comes with the cost of far more work and hours of slogging through bad drops, it might not be a good trade.  The Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR will run from June 2-9, so perhaps player feedback will see Blizzard divert course on the Mythic Unique changes before the season's launch on June 30. Sleeping Dogs May Never Get The Sequel It Deserves, But Here’s The Next Best Thing

With Hitman developer IO Interactive at the helm of 007 First Light, there was an expectation that the new James Bond game would be a showcase for what the developer does best: intricately crafted levels and worlds that run with clockwork precision. What I wasn't expecting was a game where throwing hands wasn't just surprisingly effective, but also evocative of a beloved open-world classic, Sleeping Dogs. In 007 First Light, Bond often finds himself in a situation where gadgets or bluffing won't suffice. Unlike Hitman: World of Assassination, brawling is one of the best ways to move forward, and it's brilliantly realized with a system of hard-hitting blows, grapples, and using the environment to your advantage. It's a skillset that was understandably absent from Agent 47's tour across the World of Assassination, with any fisticuffs usually being over in three button prompts and running the risk of alerting a small army of security guards to open fire on you. https://youtu.be/7gNjeadYcbg But with Bond, the world is more forgiving of outbursts of violence. Fighting in 007 First Light feels dirty, brutal, and improvised, a sensation that United Front Games mastered in its 2012 masterpiece, Sleeping Dogs. A love letter to Hong Kong action movies, Sleeping Dogs gave you ample opportunity to drop a Triad gangster with a spinning roundhouse kick, and that action was one of its greatest strengths. 007 First Light's brawls feel like a spiritual successor to the showdowns of Sleeping Dogs, as both games offer players the opportunity to improvise on the fly with environmental takedowns and using whatever's at hand to bludgeon an enemy into submission. There's an inherent savagery to the combat in those games, a no-holds-barred approach to breaking bones that's enhanced by top-notch sound design and feedback to your actions. Wei Shen battles Triad gangsters in Sleeping Dogs.Every victory felt earned in Sleeping Dogs. Admittedly, Bond's skillset pales in comparison to Wei Shen's martial arts mastery, but the protagonists feel connected. Both games also choose to treat firearms as an absolute last resort, emphasizing skill and cunning over ballistic kisses, while Bond and Shen also find their loyalties tested as they adopt new identities in pursuit of justice and vengeance. There's even some Dark Knight DNA in the mix, as 007 First Light's principal combat director, Adam Vincent, also worked as a combat animator on Rocksteady's Batman games. "Bond is young in First Light--inexperienced, eager, and a little reckless," Vincent said in a Reddit thread. "The combat needs to feel slightly more like a bar brawl. People can be used against others, haymakers, and slightly over-extended strikes, improvised weapons, and lots of environmental strikes and takedowns. Bond can obviously kill as well, which is the opposite of Batman." A scene from 007 First Light, where James Bond battles a bully.Bond leaves enemies feeling shaken and stirred. It's the closest we'll ever get to a Sleeping Dogs sequel, as a combination of disappointing sales--by Square Enix's infamous standards--and the eventual shutdown of Sleeping Dogs developer United Front Games torpedoed any chance of a follow-up to that cult-classic even when it was reportedly in an early stage of development. Who knows what's happening with the Sleeping Dogs movie, a project that has gone through numerous phases over the years. For now, 007 First Light scratches a 14-year itch for roughhousing. It might not have neon-soaked Hong Kong streets to drop goons on or offer you roadside pork buns to make you feel whole, but Bond's two-fisted approach to saving the world feels comfortably familiar once you master it.  007 First Light: Meet The Celebrity Cast Of The New James Bond Game 4561864-007firstlightjamesbond2.jpg 4561865-patrickgibsonasjamesbond.jpg 4561866-priyangaburfordasm.jpg 4561867-lenniejamesasjohngreenway.jpg 4561868-kieralesterasmissmoneypenny.jpg 4561869-alastairmackenzieasq.jpg 4561870-noemienakaiasmissroth.jpg View Images...

Xbox Showcase Won’t Have Next-Gen Helix News

The upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7 will not feature announcements about the Project Helix console. Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty said on the latest Xbox Podcast that Microsoft also won't share much about the company's broad strategy plans for its future under the leadership of Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. Instead, the Xbox Games Showcase will be all about games . "We really want to focus on the teams and on the games. This is not going to be a place where we talk about strategy broadly. There are certainly some strategic things out there and some things we want to bring clarity to. But the focus here is on the games," he said. "For the long term, we want to make the right decisions, not fast decisions. There won't be Helix news. Helix will not be in this showcase. We want to get everything about that right." Booty said Xbox will provide answers to "broader strategic questions" and the Helix console at some point later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwYglyND1EA&rco=1 The Xbox Games Showcase takes place on Sunday, June 7, with an Xbox Direct event immediately following that will focus on Gears of War: E-Day. One of the games confirmed for the Xbox Games Showcase is the Fable reboot, which has been delayed to February 2027. Booty said Microsoft will have "some really cool stuff to show for Fable" at the showcase. Fable was going to be developer Playground's second big release for 2026, following the successful launch of Forza Horizon 6. Another big game that Microsoft has on tap for 2026 is Halo: Campaign Evolved, which will bring the Halo series to PlayStation for the first time...

Fable Has Been Delayed To February 2027

Fable has officially been delayed to February 2027, Xbox has confirmed. Originally scheduled to release in late 2026, the next game from Forza Horizon 6 developer Playground Games has instead been shifted to Q1 2027. Talking about the delay, Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty explained that while Xbox is confident with how Fable is shaping up, it wants to give the game a "window" to shine all on its own. "We're excited about where the game is. We want to make sure that the game has a window of its own, so we are going to move it from this fall to February," Booty said in the Xbox podcast. While he didn't outright mention it, Booty's comments do suggest that Microsoft wants to avoid competing with Grand Theft Auto 6, which launches on November 19. Fable originally had a nebulous release date of Fall 2026, but signs of a possible delay cropped up earlier this year when Playground stopped signing off messages to fans with a Fall 2026 release date at the end. https://youtu.be/BwYglyND1EA "In order to plan our game launches through the holidays, in a way that works best for players, we’re moving Fable to February 2027 so it can have the dedicated moment it deserves," Xbox added in a social media post. Fable steering clear of GTA 6--which Booty described as one of the "biggest entertainment moments" of the year--makes sense when you also factor in Xbox's tentpole game for the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Launching on October 22, Modern Warfare 4 should have enough breathing room to avoid direct competition with GTA 6, and the game is only coming to Xbox Game Pass a year after launch. Call of Duty games are usually one of the best sellers of the year, but last year's Black Ops 7 was the worst-performing Call of Duty game since 2008. Microsoft hasn't revealed concrete dates yet for Halo: Campaign Evolved and Gears of War: E-Day, but it's likely that more details on those games will be revealed at next month's Xbox June Showcase.
