I don't understand why the File choser isn't configurable. It is always like that they experiment with you but you would be happy with exactly the one you had 8 years ago...
Just a quick note: Upgrading from Mint 21 to 21 (so from Ubuntu 22 base to 24) removed Virtiofs. And it's not available in the Software Manager. But Virtiofsd is, installing that makes the shared folder work again...
